SUNDOWN TO SUNUP
2006 (ongoing)
This is a small sample from an ongoing series I've been working on for last ten+ years. Every city I visit, I try to reserve the last night to photograph it after the tourists have tucked in for the night. With travel more accessible than ever, it’s hard to experience places like the Charles Bridge in Prague or the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi without being shoulder-to-shoulder with thousands of other spectators, and for good reason. But I’m greedy. I want the place to myself. I generally go out late at night with a loose route with starting and ending points, but some of my favorite photographs are those in-between points – the locations where colors collide and melt together into quiet moments.
